Full description
Slow down and see Agadir's green side from the back of a camel. After a short drive from your hotel, you meet the friendly ranch team and the gentle camels, then get a quick briefing on how to climb on, sit comfortably and ride safely. Then the trek begins: about two hours at an easy pace through cool eucalyptus groves, with natural shade and a light breeze. The route reaches the banks of the Souss River, a peaceful spot known for its migrating birds, and passes along the edge of the royal palace grounds, where you can glimpse grand architecture and lush gardens. As the sun begins to soften, you ride back to the ranch and settle in for a traditional mint tea with a selection of tasty local snacks. Then comes a relaxed drive back to your hotel, with plenty of photos on your phone. Good to know: the programme is a guide, so we confirm your pickup time and any changes with you before departure. If you are travelling with young children, or anyone who is unsure about riding a camel, tell us before you book so we can talk it through together.
